Pantulicos' Austrian goalkeeper Christopher Kent was forced to miss yesterday (Monday) his team's game against Panathinaikos. The 30-year-old goalkeeper did not surprisingly appear in Pantulicos' squad and it turned out that the reason was quite unusual.
It turns out that Kent was absent from the game not because of an injury and not because of Corona or any other illness, but because of an accident in the kitchen while he was making a steak. "I will miss the game this week, but I believe next week I will be fine," the Austrian goalkeeper said after showing his handwriting with the burns, "It happens." When asked if he was able to finish cooking after he was injured, he said, "My wife kept going." Despite his absence, substitute goalkeeper Nicolas Melisas managed to keep a clean sheet and led Pantulicos to 0-1.
Of course this injury reminds everyone of the bizarre injury of former Spain goalkeeper Santiago Canizares, who was injured after a bottle of aftershave fell near his leg and injured him.
