SCAN SPORT - Conor McGregor should soon pocket the sum of 130 million euros without making another appearance in the octagon.

"I am already a very rich man and the numbers are only increasing."

While his fortune was already estimated at more than 100 million euros, Conor McGregor could well double his wealth by selling his brand of whiskey, Proper Twelve.

Named in tribute to its Dublin neighborhood, the “Notorious” brand has enjoyed great success since its inception in 2018. Building on the fame of the former two-time UFC champion, Proper Twelve is expected to pay close attention. € 130 million to Conor McGregor in connection with a resale of his shares.

According to information from the

Irish Mirror

, it is the Becle company, already owner of the Tequila brand "Jose Cuervo" which should acquire the rights to this whiskey.

This Mexican company already owned 50% of the brand.

For this transaction, Conor McGregor and his manager should receive 260 million euros, which they would share.

A significant investment for Becle, but profitable according to Conor.

“After four years it's already a great whiskey, so wait until it's eight, twelve or twenty.

Highest-paid athlete in the world of the year?

"This year, I aspire to be the highest paid athlete in the Forbes rankings."

This is enough to show Conor McGregor's financial ambitions.

However, at 32 years old, the Irishman seems to be on the decline in sporting terms.

Indeed, he has won only one fight since 2016 and remains on a loss to Dustin Poirier last January.

The American had even inflicted on "The Notorious" the first knockout of his career.

Yet McGregor can boast of having one of the biggest fortunes in the sports world.

During his last appearance in the octagon last January, he would have received 22 million euros even if his most lucrative fight remains that against Floyd Mayweather, on August 26, 2017, for which he would have touched 120 million euros .

With the sale of his brand of whiskey, Conor McGregor is expected to climb the rankings developed by Forbes.
