Yusuf Kabadayi extends his contract with FC Bayern until 2024. The young striker has been playing for the record champions since the U8s.

Munich

- "It would be a dream to play for FC Bayern in the Allianz Arena at some point," explains Yusuf Kabadayi on the record champions' website.

The 18-year-old striker is now one step closer to this dream.

One week after his 18th birthday, Kabadayi extended his contract with FC Bayern until 2024.

The German-Turk is a real addition to the German flagship club.

Kabadayi switched from FC Eintracht Munich to FC Bayern U8s in the summer of 2012 and has worked through all youth teams ever since.

In the current season, the striker has alternated between the amateurs and the U19s.

At the end of November, however, Kabadayi suffered a serious shoulder injury.

FC Bayern: Kabadayi wants to attack again after injury

"Yusi is a great striker, he is a rascal.

I'm very excited about his future path with us, but basically I have a lot of confidence in him," says Holger Seitz, sporting director at the FC Bayern Campus, who is satisfied with the contract extension.

Kabadayi has now recovered from his shoulder injury and started training with his teammates at the beginning of the year.

"I'm fit and I'm attacking again," explains the young talent.

For the 18-year-old, the contract extension is the biggest birthday present.

"I was born in Munich and have played for FC Bayern since I was little.

That's why I'm grateful and I'm really looking forward to being able to complete the next development steps at my club," says Kabadayi, showing his attachment to the record champions.

The German U18 national player first drew attention to himself in a YouTube video from 2018. The then 15-year-old showed his skills with team-mate Kenan Yildiz.

The video has since been clicked almost 1.5 million times.

Yildiz has only recently made headlines as the 16-year-old has attracted interest from FC Barcelona, according to media reports.

Companion Kabadayi has now decided to take a different career step and extended his contract in Munich.
