Manchester United continued to shuffle in the Premier League today (Saturday) when they once again lost two important points in the battle for the top four in England, this time with a disappointing 1-1 home draw against Southampton, who in turn remained in tenth place.
The Red Devils, who were recently relegated from the FA Cup after a loss to Mildsbrough and four days later also faked a 1-1 draw with Burnley in the league, again finished 90 minutes without a win though despite Ralph Rangnik choosing to come up with a strong squad that included Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The host climbed to fifth place with 40 points when this coming Tuesday it will host Brighton in a rematch in hopes of skipping towards fourth place.

After Ronaldo's miss in front of an empty net (7), the Red Devils actually picked up gear from the start and got on the board in the 21st minute when Rashford found Sancho, who had no trouble scoring his second goal of the season.

Three minutes into the second half, Southampton managed to equalize after Muhammad Alionosi found Che Adams, who finished great for the crossbar and inside.
