Even a 21-point deficit at the end of the third quarter did not prevent Philadelphia from achieving a fifth straight and fourth straight victory in the James Harden era.
The bearded man again looked excellent in his new team as he contributed 25 points and 11 assists.
But the main beneficiary of Harden's arrival and the attention he gets is Tyrese Maxi.
The young guard is averaging 26.8 points since Harden's arrival and tonight he exploded with 33 points, including 5 of 6 from outside the arc.
Joel Ambide added 22 points for Philly, who snatched 43 points in the first quarter but knew how to get back in front of her home crowd who were very much enjoying his new team.
The excellent Darius Garland led the Cubs with 26 points and no less than 19 assists, but neither Allen's 20 nor Okuro's 22 were enough against the hot Philadelphia team, which along with Harden looks like a serious contender for the championship.

The Greek star swept the champion to a hard-fought victory in Chicago with a performance in the fourth quarter and a stat line of 34 points and 16 rebounds, with Jero Holliday assisting him in money time with 26 points, including 10 in the last five minutes.
Chris Middleton added 22 for the Bucks, who have won 14 of their last 15 meetings with the Bulls.
Zack Lavine (30) and Damar Druzen (29) led the Bulls, who suffered a fourth straight loss and allowed Milwaukee to equal them in third place in the East.

New Orleans continues to look great with a fourth straight win since the All-Star break and there is no doubt that the trade on CJ McCollum has greatly upgraded it.
McCollum scored 24 points for the hosts, leading by 37 points in the third quarter.
Brandon Ingram led with 29 points and when Zion Williamson returns to New Orleans it is a team that no one would want to meet in the playoffs if they qualified for it.
New Orleans kept excellent and stopped the best offensive team in the league at just 35 percent from the field with Donovan Mitchell stopping at 14 points on a terrible percentage (5 of 18).
Hassan Whiteside added 13 and 12 rebounds to the Jazz.

Orlando's surprise win in Canada over the Raptors, who may have missed the excellent Fred and Enville, but suffered a loss that kept them out of sixth place in the East that gives them a ticket to the playoffs.
Cole Anthony scored 15 points for the Magic, who received a double-digit contribution from all five players.
R.J. Hampton added 11 from the bench.
On the other hand, Pascal Siakam was passionate with 34 points and 14 rebounds, but did not get enough help from his teammates and especially from Gary Trent Jr. who got stuck on 4 points and missed all nine of his attempts off the arc.
Oklahoma City (43:20) - Minnesota (29:35) 138: 101
An easy and not really surprising victory for Minnesota, which got 20 points from Carl Anthony Towns and also Naz Reed.
Tauren Prince (18) and DiAngelo Russell (17) contributed to the Wolves' offensive effort which exploded with a crushing 26:45 in the second quarter and humiliated with 14:30 in the final quarter.
Shay Gilges Alexander led as usual with 33 against the tank team from Oklahoma.

Two teams that have lost interest already this season met in Detroit, with the Car City team achieving a fifth win in the last seven games, much thanks to Sadiq Bay who scored 25 points and Cade Cunningham who contributed 20 and 9 rebounds.
Malcolm Brogdon scored 26 for Indiana, which has suffered its tenth loss in its last 13 games.
