FC Bayern fires a long-time employee.

The kit man is said to have racially insulted FCB stars Serge Gnabry and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Munich – Unrest before the important game in the Champions League against RB Salzburg.

FC Bayern* is once again overshadowed by a racism scandal.

This time, however, it's not about the youth academy, as it was in the past, but about the professionals.

Serge Gnabry and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are said to have been insulted by a long-time FCB employee.

FC Bayern draws consequences after the current incident and dismisses the kit manager, as reported by the

FC Bayern fires long-term employees: Gnabry and Choupo-Moting racially insulted

What happened?

The incident happened on Säbener Strasse.

According to the report, the kit man in question was on the FC Bayern club premises, together with his daughter.

The two ran into the dark-skinned Bayern stars Serge Gnabry and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

"You don't need to bring that home with me," the kit man is said to have said to his daughter.

Other employees apparently heard this sentence and informed the club management of it.

For the bosses, the matter was clear: the statement was classified as racist and the employee was released immediately.

According to

Bild

, the team has already been informed of the dismissal by sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.

There was initially no comment from FC Bayern and the employee, who had been employed for over ten years.

FC Bayern is not experiencing the first racism scandal

Unfortunately, this is not the first incident of serious discrimination for FC Bayern.

In summer 2020 there was a racism scandal on the FC Bayern campus about a youth coach who was fired because of his comments in chats.

The ex-employee was sentenced to a fine and an 18-month ban from working.

"As a cosmopolitan club, FC Bayern stands for tolerance and against exclusion and discrimination in any form," said President Herbert Hainer.

Two years ago, the association launched the “Red Against Racism” initiative.

It is therefore not surprising that the kit manager acted quickly after the inappropriate statement.

Racism should be nipped in the bud.
