The German Leipzig team achieved a surprise and beat Italy's Atalanta with two clean goals in the second leg of the European League quarter-final, which was hosted today by the "Joyce" stadium.
Christopher Nkunku advanced to the visitors in the 18th minute, and the same player added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 87th minute of the match.
The first leg match ended in a 1-1 draw in Germany last week.
In the semi-finals, Leipzig will meet the winner of the match between Portuguese Braga and Scottish Rangers.
