Formula 1: Verstappen wins in Imola

Last season they fought a dramatic fight for the World Cup. In Italy, however, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were worlds apart. And Ferrari endured a disappointing home race.

Max Verstappen has won the Emilia-Romagna Formula 1 race.

The Red Bull driver won in Imola ahead of his team-mate Sergio Pérez and lapped record world champion Lewis Hamilton.

The most successful driver of the season so far, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, was only sixth after a spin on lap 54, his teammate Carlos Sainz had previously retired.
