Itzik Kornfein, who has served as director of the sports department for the past seven years, wanted to end his position at the municipality, Israel Today has learned.
During his tenure as director of the division, Kornfein worked hard to upgrade the sports facilities and establish new facilities in the city for the benefit of the residents and for the benefit of professional sports.
The mayor expressed his appreciation and gratitude for Kornfein's work and his great contribution to the promotion of sports in the capital and wished him success in his future endeavors.
"Kornfein has completed his work after 7 years of working for the municipality and will act in accordance with all municipal procedures and human resources guidelines in this matter," the municipality said.
