The plans for the gym are currently on hold.

In terms of sport, things are going well at FCA Unterbruck, and not only with the kicking promotion heroes.

Unterbruck

– Joy and sorrow are close together at FCA Unterbruck.

There were sporting successes to celebrate.

On the other hand, when it comes to the tiresome topic of sports halls, there is disappointment that a Europe-wide tender is required if the municipality is to participate.

The plans are on hold.

FC Ampertal Unterbruck had a lot of reasons to be happy at its annual general meeting, apart from the obligatory corona-related failures that all clubs had.

Outstanding example: the development of the first football team.

FCA President Andreas Klein spoke of a "sensation" considering the fact that the team marched furiously into the district league immediately after promotion to the district league.

78 goals in 24 league games with only three defeats - according to Klein, that says it all.

The FCA chairman emphasized in the meeting: "We are all proud of the young team and look forward to next season."

Positive news from the departments

There was also great praise for the youth department, which had invited to a football tournament at the beginning of July last year.

“I think I can say with justification: There has never been such a rush to our sports grounds for a sporting event.

It was overwhelming," said Klein.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

There were also positive reports from other departments.

According to division manager Anton Dawidowitsch, the stick shooters were happy about the high training intensity.

Training takes place three times a week in summer and twice a week in winter, said the head of department, pointing out that it can certainly be compared to the zeal of footballers.

Tennis boss Rene Scholz was confident that after two years of dry spells things would go uphill again.

The "started reconstruction" is promising, said Scholz.

Topic sports hall: Postponed is not lifted.

From the club's point of view, the development in the sports hall is not very pleasing. You can't handle the project alone.

And as soon as the community is involved, according to club boss Klein, "a Europe-wide tender is absolutely necessary".

Because this requirement has a massive impact on the total costs, the FCA is not in a position to bear the planned 50 percent, Klein stated to the great regret of the 45 people present in "La Terrazza".

The war in Ukraine began just as they were trying to find a solution with the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV).

Obtaining serious offers was no longer possible under these circumstances because nobody knew how the already “horrendous construction prices” would develop.

But you don't want to throw in the towel, as the FCA President assured.

The second chairman, Thomas Rusp, also commented on the construction of the sports hall.

He has seen a need for this for decades, he made clear.

In the meantime, the whole thing had become a political issue.

There are pros and cons when it comes to location.

In his opinion, not everything has to be “in Fahrenzhausen City”.

"At FCA Unterbruck, the hall would be in better hands visually and in terms of infrastructure," said the vice-chairman.

The upcoming new elections, on the other hand, turned out to be a mere formality.

The entire board of directors stood up again - and all those responsible were confirmed in their offices.
