Konrad Laimer has been in talks with FC Bayern for several weeks.
But Munich will have to be patient for financial reasons before they can sign the Austrian.
Munich – The FC Bayern squad for the coming season is taking shape.
After the presentation of the first newcomer, Noussair Mazraoui, Ryan Gravenberch's signature should follow on Saturday.
In addition to the two professionals moving from Ajax Amsterdam to the Isar, Bayern have other players on the list.
Defensive midfield should also be improved, and one of the candidates for this position is Konrad Laimer.
But Munich would have to be patient if they wanted to get the Leipzig professional.

Is Konrad Laimer, Julian Nagelsmann's third ex-player, coming to Bayern?
Laimer played for RB Leipzig under Julian Nagelsmann for two years, and the “pressing machine” was one of the most important players for the head coach.
Now the two could possibly meet again, a commitment from the ex-player would fit into the picture.
Before his first season in Munich, Nagelsmann took Dayot Upamecano, Marcel Sabitzer and his coaching entourage from his old homeland.
Bayern paid a total of more than 57 million euros for Upamecano and Sabitzer, and Nagelsmann also had to be bought out of his contract for a reported 20 million euros.
The transfer of Laimer would also involve a major investment for Munich, as his contract runs until the end of June next year.

According to a recent report, the 25-year-old is still carrying a price tag set by a release clause until June 30.
Laimer could therefore be immediately committed for 35 million euros.
However, if the Austrian national player only changes in July, the transfer fee would drop significantly.
According to the report, RB then demands 18 million euros - an amount that still seems a bit too high given the remaining one-year contract period.
Laimer recently stated that it was "quite possible" that he "won't play in Leipzig next season".
This means that a contract extension is almost impossible, so Laimer will probably not play for the Saxons beyond next summer.
In order to generate another fee with the central midfielder, RB would have to let him go.
Bayern are far from the only interested parties, and English clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are also said to be considering a Laimer transfer.
