Maren Reusser has won the fourth stage of the Tour de France Femmes from Troyes to Bar-sur-Aube.

The Swiss won after 126.8 kilometers in front of the French Evita Muzic and Alena Amialiusik from Belarus.

Marianne Vos of the Netherlands finished fifth, 1:40 behind, successfully defending her yellow jersey.

Liane Lippert was the best German in twelfth place.

Mavi García was unlucky on the stage.

The Spanish champion, sixth overall, 55 seconds behind Voss, was initially slowed down by two technical problems.

When she was on her way back towards the top, the negative highlight of her day followed: her own team vehicle drove too close to García and touched her rear wheel.

García fell and finally lost the connection.

At the finish she was more than three minutes behind the winner of the day, Reusser, and slipped down to eleventh place in the overall standings.

Lauke criticizes the nervousness of team managers and sporting directors

Even before the stage, Ronny Lauke, boss of the German racing team Canyon SRAM, had criticized the weak nerves of some of his colleagues: “You can already see the unrest in the convoy of support vehicles.

Some keep leaving their position and then do gymnastics in front of you.

And this nervousness, which some team managers and sport directors bring with them and which is really visible, then transfers to the drivers,” said Lauke.

The first stages had been overshadowed by numerous falls.

The longest stage of the tour at 175.6 kilometers is scheduled for Thursday, the destination is Saint-Die-des-Vosges.

The Tour de France Femmes ends on Sunday after eight stages on the legendary Planche des Belles Filles in the Vosges.
