Itamar Einhorn and Mike Woods from the Israel Premier Tech team were involved in a crash today (Sunday) during the third section in the Spanish Valletta.
As a result, Woods was forced to withdraw from the Grand Tour.
After recovering, Woods was seen bleeding from the head, which automatically triggered the concussion procedure in bicycle racing.
A doctor on behalf of the organizers examined the Canadian rider and after a few minutes determined that he would not be able to continue riding and thus he was removed from the Israeli team.
Einhorn continued the segment carrying an injury and will receive treatment at the end of the segment.
