The rue Eugène-Spuller (IIIe) which runs along the Carreau du Temple is invaded by skateboards on this Sunday afternoon.
And for good reason, the Grl Swirl collective is organizing its back-to-school session a little over a month after the inauguration of its Paris branch, Swirl Paris.
The group has its origins in the famous skateboarding spot of Venice Beach, in Los Angeles.
It all started with an initiative by several women who are fans of this sport and want to increase its practice among the female public.
After having developed in San Diego and New York, Grl Swirl is exported beyond the American borders for the first time by landing in Paris.
