The SE Freising has stopped its winless series.

They won against FC Schwaig - with luck and skill.

Freising

– The footballers of SE Freising were able to knock the buck over on Friday evening, who narrowly but deservedly won 2-1 (2-1) against FC Schwaig.

That's the end of the winless streak.

They've gotten a little nervous lately, the SE Freising footballers.

The Domstadters went away empty-handed three times in a row, they came very close to the relegation ranks.

And because FC Schwaig, the league's big wonder team last season, is also in the middle of a relegation battle, it was clear that no miracles were to be expected on Friday evening.

Bittner didn't need to be asked twice

And so the initial phase was more cramp than class.

Both teams felt each other noticeably, neither wanted to afford the first faux pas.

But with the first real opportunity, the home side worked out their first lead in a long time.

Felix Fischer had cleverly won the ball in midfield, Florian Bittner grabbed the ball and staged Domagoj Tiric, who had run with it.

He initially got stuck in the back four, but Luka Brudtloff followed suit and put it on Bittner in the penalty area, who didn't need to be asked twice and made it 1-0 (16').

SEF bravely holds back after a setback

But the lead didn't last long, and the equalizer was a bit questionable from Freising's point of view.

SEF co-player coach Michael Schmid and FCS player coach Ben Held both clung to the Freising penalty area and both fell as a result, but referee Lukas Schregle gave Schwaig a free kick.

A great feast for Ben Held – shortly after the lead it was already 1:1 (21st).

But instead of breaking down from the setback, the Freisingers bravely held back, accepted the duels, stuck to the fast switching game and were finally rewarded shortly before the break whistle.

Daniel Müller had captured the ball with great strength and played a butter-soft and precise pass to the top, where Domagoj Tiric had anticipated wonderfully, ran cleverly and had no trouble making it 2-1 in front of FCS keeper Franz Hornof (45 ').

The keeper saves Freising's victory

After the change, the Freisingers were initially lucky: keeper Jonas Trost, who otherwise acted solidly, shot an opponent, but he missed the goal from an acute angle.

And the SEF?

Focused on defending now.

Only Luka Brudtloff still had the chance to decide the game, but his nerves failed him alone in front of the goal.

Otherwise, Eintracht had the match under control relatively well – until youngster Jonas Trost became the match winner in goal.

It was the last minute of the game when the ball landed right in front of the goal after a corner, but Freising's keeper fended off the following shot with a great reflex and saved his colors the three points.

Bittner was satisfied.

His words of warning in advance had paid off, the experienced players had improved noticeably.

Held, for example, was completely unregistered from Schmid.

"All in all, it was a fully deserved win," Bittner summed up.

"We've worked out that little bit of luck."
