A man stabbed at least five people this evening (Thursday) in the Assago Milanofiori shopping center, south of Milan.
One of the injured according to the reports is Pablo Mari, who plays for Italian Monza from the Serie A, and who belongs to Arsenal.
Marie was hit in the chest and taken to the hospital while he is conscious, according to the first reports.
Arsenal released an official statement:
"We are all shocked to hear the terrible news about the stabbing in Italy, which put several people in hospital, including our on-loan defender Pablo Mari."
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said Mari "looks fine" and confirmed the defender is in hospital.
