Lewandowski desperate at Bayern: De Ligt eats Barca striker

Robert Lewandowski experienced a used evening with Barcelona against FC Bayern.
Matthijs de Ligt puts the top scorer through his paces.
Munich - Twice zero - that's the statistics of Robert Lewandowski in two duels in the Champions League against his former club Bayern.
While the super striker scored five goals against the other two group opponents Inter Milan and Pilsen and scores at will in Spain's La Liga, he was unlucky against Bayern.
In the first leg, the Pole missed top-class scoring chances, in the second leg in the 0:3 in Barcelona he was completely unregistered.
That was mainly due to one man: Matthijs de Ligt chained Lewandowski.

The Dutchman was attentive at all times of the game, biting and above all hard on the man.
Robert Lewandowski in particular felt this very hard, the 67 million new signing was constantly breathing down his neck.
The reward: UEFA named him Man of the Match.
De Ligt is surprised at the honor and suggests a Bayern colleague.
One scene in particular heated the spirits of both fan camps.
De Ligt was once again the stronger in a direct duel and Lewandowski was suddenly lying on the grass with a pained face.
The world footballer held his foot and complained wildly gesticulating about his opponent's tough gait.
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann was delighted with the determination shown by his team.

FC Bayern: Nagelsmann praise for de Ligt performance against Lewandowski
"We defended very well today, I really liked the biliousness today.
I'm happy about that," said Nagelsmann after the game.
"I think we played very nice duels.
I'm very happy that he didn't score a goal," de Ligt said of Lewandowski after what was probably his best game in a Bayern jersey.
"It was very difficult.
For me he is the best striker in the world, you always have to be awake.
He plays very intelligently.
But together we managed that he didn't finish.” Neighbor Upamecano was always on top of his game too.

Things only got tricky for de Ligt and Bayern just before the break, when the referee pointed to the spot after a tackle on Lewandowski in the penalty area.
According to the TV pictures, however, Anthony Taylor took the penalty back.
Lewandowski would have loved to have taken the penalty and scored his first goal against Bayern in a Barca shirt.
But nothing came of it, de Ligt slowed him down hard but according to the rules.
The Spanish press delivered a merciless verdict: "Bayern leaves Barcelona light years behind".
