So yes: Exactly three months after his middle foot, striker Marcel Bär returns to the lion squad.
But there are new concerns about Captain Stefan Lex.
On Thursday, Michael Köllner made a big secret of Marcel Bär's personnel.
When asked whether the top scorer would go to Bayreuth after a three-month injury break, the Löwen coach said: "It's entirely my decision.
.
.” According to information from merkur.tz and tz.de, it fell out in favor of the recovered striker, who was able to take part in full team training for the first time during the week.
Bär got on the Löwen bus, which set off for Upper Franconia around noon on Friday.
There, Bär and Co. expect a climber that is difficult to calculate (Saturday, 2:03 p.m., live on BR and on MagentaSport).
The SpVgg lost 3-0 at Hallesches FC on Monday, a rival in the fight for relegation.
Before that, however, the "Oldschdodt", as the locals call their team, had achieved respectable results: 1-0 victory over Osnabrück and most recently 1-1 against Dresden.
According to Köllner, the lions will not underestimate the bottom of the table.
"They always have a defensive plan," the coach knows: "This isn't a team that's lying in ruins." The Bayreuth team are expanding the municipal Hans-Walter-Wild Stadium especially for the Bavarian derby.
As an exception, 12,000 instead of 10,000 are allowed in on Saturday, with half of the spectators likely to sympathize with the visiting team.

On Friday it was initially unclear whether captain Stefan Lex would be able to attend the penultimate away game of the year.
According to information from db24, the captain missed the final training session, apparently due to knee problems.
Lex had just celebrated his comeback and prepared a goal in the 3-1 win against Wiesbaden (Tim Rieder's 3-0).
It would be bitter for Lex and the lions if the veteran striker had to take another forced break. It's comforting for Köllner that he can at least fall back on Marcel Bär - at least for a joker.
