It wasn't easy, but Hapoel Holon returned to the winning track tonight (Saturday) after leaving the shell hall with a dramatic 94:101 victory over Hapoel Beer Sheva/Dimona, thanks to a wonderful game by Eric Green, who led the list of purple scorers with 28 points.
For the champion, the game in the capital of the Negev was an important test of character.
Although the Purples did not shine, they managed to recover from the defeat they suffered from Maccabi Tel Aviv at the beginning of the week and got back to smiling with an important away victory.

The visitors had to make do in the match without captain Chris Johnson, who has not been feeling well in recent days and did not register for the match.
In his absence, Holonia was looking for leadership and another player to step up and lead it to victory and got it from Hayden Dalton and Niv Mashgav who recorded their best game of the season.
The champions led throughout the game but a great performance by Ben Moore kept the hosts close, however the Southerners who are struggling defensively this season had no answer for Green, who sniped from every corner and led the Purples to victory with a wonderful second half.
After the game, the champions will go on a team break and return to the courts in about two weeks, when they will host Ironi Nes Ziona as part of the league.
