Benjamin Mendy admitted today (Tuesday) in court that he told the person who was allegedly raped by him that he would "kidnap her".
This is the second day in the trial of the Manchester City footballer, who is accused of seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexual harassment against six different young women, crimes which he allegedly committed with his friend Louis Saha Matori.
Mandy told the jury he met "complainant number one" while recovering from injury in Barcelona in 2017, and a year later she joined him for a night out in Manchester during which they "flirted" and "danced together".
The French defender claimed they were both "smiling" when he whispered a remark about "kidnapping" to her while she was dancing with his friend.
Moments later, Mandy asked the boyfriend if it was okay for him to try to have sex with the complainant, and the three of them drove back to his house.
There, the actor surprised her in the shower and said "now we can do what we wanted".
Mandy claimed she refused and then he arranged a ride for her to the train station.
The 28-year-old footballer was also asked about "complainant number 2", another alleged rape victim, who accused him of raping her three times in his home.
Mandy told the court they had not slept, but he was left "confused and shocked" when she texted Louis Saha about what she claims happened.

Yesterday Mandy told how "easy" it is for him to get women and have relationships with them thanks to his status as a football player, which attracted "10 times more attention", so said the Frenchman, who admitted: "I'm not Brad Pitt".
He also told jurors that he used to sleep with more than one woman in the same night: "For me it was normal, but now I realize it sounds bad."
The charges against Mandy, who was described as a "predator" who "turned the pursuit of sex into a game", allege that he locked the young women in a "panic room" in his isolated mansion.
Some of the complainants accused him of confiscating their mobile phones when they arrived at the house, which prevented them from calling for help.
The Manchester City player denies six counts of rape and three counts of sexual harassment of seven different young women.
