After the successes in the last competitions, the Paralympic taekwondo fighter Assaf Yassour, today (Thursday) rose to the first place in the world ranking.

20-year-old Yasur, who competes in the weight category up to 58 kg in the 44K handicap class, recently achieved the gold medals at the Grand Prix of Paris and Manchester, when for each of them, he won 60 ranking points, which jumped him to the top of the table with 338 Total points.

During the next year and a half, Yassour will hope to continue his great ability, thus achieving the criterion for the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, where he will try to reach for the first time in his career, after he was already close to doing so in Tokyo last year.

In the last few days, the Paralympic team is in a training camp in Mexico, where the Olympic team is also in preparation for the World Championships in Guadalajara at the beginning of next week, where ten Israeli sportsmen and women will participate.
