The junior teams of SpVgg Unterhaching are on winter break.

How did the youth of the regional league do?

The big NLZ check.

Munich – The youth department of SpVgg Unterhaching is now on winter break.

While the head coach Sandro Wagner accompanied the farewell of reporter legend Béla Réthy as an expert at the World Cup in Qatar, the NLZ trainers have long been analyzing the autumn round and are planning the preparations for the new year.

We take a close look at the previous performances of the U17, U19 and U23 (out of competition in the Landesliga Südwest).

Sensitive bankruptcies before the winter break - it's going to be really tight for Bierofka's U17

With Daniel Bierofka, an experienced coach took over the U17s of SpVgg Unterhaching in the summer.

The ex-professional was able to gain Bundesliga experience as a player at TSV 1860 Munich, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart.

As a coach, he started his career with the lions.

The 43-year-old brought Giesinger back to the 3rd division in 2018 and has been without a club since his release in Innsbruck.

With the U17 Biero is in the relegation battle of the U17 Bundesliga.

So far, the B-Juniors of SpVgg Unterhaching have scored 15 points in 14 games.

That means 13th place in the table - but only one point is missing from the saving bank.

After the strong last season - the U17s finished second - the team has to bake smaller rolls this season.

In the derbies against the youngsters from Säbener Straße and Bierofka's former club, things looked bad for Hachinger.

The Bierofka protégés lost 6-1 to the Reds last weekend, and they lost 5-0 at home to the Blues at the beginning of December.

Two derbies, zero points, 1:11 goals: anything but pleasant.

And those weren't the only major failures.

The U17s lost 6-0 to VfB Stuttgart.

Nothing is lost yet, but it's getting close.

In the youth federal leagues, only a single round is played, after which there are playoffs for the German championship.

Two games are still to come for the Hachinger: Against the Stuttgarter Kickers and the offspring from SC Freiburg.

Both duels are about big points in the relegation battle.

Neither team is out of the danger zone yet.

Six points are needed, and even then the B-Juniors may still need help.

U19 of SpVgg Unterhaching is above the line and only needs a few points

The U19s have already said goodbye to the top places in the table.

After ten games, the Hachinger are not in a direct relegation zone, but the lead is only two points.

So far, the A-Youth have scored 14 points, leaders Mainz 05 have twice as many points.

After promotion, this is the second season in the A-Junior-Bundesliga Süd/Südwest for the U19s – the goal of establishing themselves in the league and keeping up the class is within reach.

Marc Unterberger's team has a balanced record in the derbies.

After an exciting first half, the Hachinger were able to beat the youngsters of FC Bayern 3:2 at home.

A week later, the A-Juniors went to TSV 1860, but lost 3-1 to the Young Lions.

Although Girtler was able to give the suburban team an early lead, they were unable to make it 1-0 over time.

The Sixties equalized in the 78th minute and then made short work of a double within ten minutes.

Hachings U23 plays out of competition in the Landesliga Südwest

The second team of SpVgg Unterhaching is currently active in the Landesliga Südwest.

The team is also coached by Unterberger, but plays in the league without a rating.

After the withdrawal of SC Ichenhausen, Hachinger's U23 jumped in, but the results are not counted.

The Hachinger second team is mainly used to give up-and-coming players match practice.

The reservists of SpVgg Unterhaching can definitely keep up in the state league, only two games were lost, many games were won by the Unterberger team.

Not only top talent Maurice Krattenmacher makes Manni Schwabl and Co. a lot of fun

The pros are on course, Sandro Wagner and his team spend the winter at the top of the table.

Maurice Krattenmacher is proof of the successful youth work in the suburbs.

The 17-year-old made his mark last season, scoring 23 goals in 20 games for the Under-17s.

The attacking midfielder only played one U19 game this season.

Krattenmacher has already played 16 times under Wagner in the regional league, and he was in the starting XI for the last seven games.

He hit the bull's eye four times, and the junior national player scored four more goals.

Hannes Heilmair also makes Manni Schwabl and the Hachingers happy.

The 18-year-old was a regular keeper in the youth squad last season – and he was already used seven times in the first team.

This year, the goalkeeper talent keeps the box clean mainly in the U19, six times guarded the goal of the Hachinger Reserve in the state league.

A name for the future could also be Cornelius Pfeiffer.

The striker has been chasing goals in SpVgg Unterhaching's U17s since this season and has scored seven times in 14 games.

The 16-year-old has been playing for Hachinger for two years and is an integral part of the U17s' starting XI.

He could make the leap from the U19s to the pros.

Bierofka-Elf has to stretch in the final sprint - U19 has everything in their own hands

The U17s and the U19s are fighting to stay up in the league.

The U17s in particular are under pressure – the Bierofka protégés need at best six points from the two remaining games to still have a chance of staying up in the league.

In the last three games before the winter break, the B youth conceded 17 goals and scored only one of their own.

The young players want to break this negative trend after the winter break.

Successful preparation is essential for this.

And the U19s can't sit back and relax just yet.

At the moment, the A youth is above the line, but a two-point lead is not a big buffer.

Unlike the B-Youth, there are still six games left for the Unterberger protégés – the team also has everything in their own hands.

And if it should burn, top talent Maurice Krattenmacher can perhaps shine in his actual team, provided that Sandro Wagner does not need him in the fight for promotion to the regional league and releases him.
