On Sunday the New Year's competition of the Four Hills Tournament will take place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Visitors are advised not to arrive by car.

In the best-case scenario, up to 20,000 spectators are expected at the Partenkirchen ski club for the New Year's ski jump of the Four Hills Tournament.

A huge influx of visitors, which will again affect the streets and traffic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

For this reason, the organizers are advising fans in advance to use public transport if possible.

There will be no public parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the ski stadium.

If you still come by car, you should follow the signs to the two parking zones in town.

The local bus runs from the green zone around the Olympic Ice Sports Center on both Saturday and New Year's Day.

This will be reinforced on January 1st by a shuttle service from Regionalverkehr Oberbayern (RVO), which will drive from the “red” industrial park zone from 10 a.m. to one hour after the end of the event.

In addition, Deutsche Bahn will be using a total of 38 regional trains on both days of the event, which will make a special stop at Kainzenbad - directly opposite the Olympic Ski Stadium - coming from Munich and Innsbruck.

In addition, on January 1st, an additional train will run from Munich Central Station directly to the New Year's Jump from 10:13 a.m.

There is also the option of using the Ausserfernbahn from Reutte to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Visitors arriving by long-distance bus line 040 from Munich or Innsbruck should get off at the train station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The walk to the Olympic Ski Stadium takes a maximum of 25 minutes along the Sportstraße along the railway line.
