Damascus-Sana
Eleven Venezuelan companies working in the fields of construction, metallurgy, oil services, street lighting, safety shoes and health products are taking part in the 61st Damascus International Fair.
In a statement to SANA, Venezuelan Ambassador in Damascus Jose Biomorgei pointed to the importance of the Damascus International Fair as an economic event because it is an opportunity for countries to show their potential in order to increase and strengthen trade and economic relations with Syria.
He pointed out that there is a common desire of the two countries to upgrade economic relations to the level of their political relations, stressing that the participation of his country this year is of great importance especially in the face of coercive unilateral measures imposed by Syria and Venezuela.
The Venezuelan ambassador expressed his hope that this participation in the exhibition will result in the signing of agreements between Venezuelan companies and the Syrian side.
The Venezuelan pavilion includes samples of Venezuela's famous agricultural products such as tropical fruits, coffee beans and cocoa, as well as displaying examples of stones used in construction.
