The European Union warned today that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's announcement of his intention to annex Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank "undermines the chances of peace" in the region.
"The policy of establishing and expanding settlements, including in East Jerusalem, is illegal under international law, and its continuation and actions taken in this context undermine the prospects for a two-state solution," an EU spokesman told AFP.
The United Nations warned yesterday the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation entity of the consequences of his declaration of annexation of Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank to his usurper entity, stressing that this scheme will not have any "international legal basis."
