The Higher Education Council approved the continuation of hosting students of the Euphrates University branch in Raqqa in other faculties of Euphrates University or other universities for the academic year 2019-2020.
The Council also approved in its resolution, which SANA received a copy of it today, to continue hosting students of the faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and second year students at the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Euphrates in other universities for the academic year 2019-2020 and are not entitled to return to the University of Euphrates this year.
According to the decision, the admission to the faculties of the Euphrates University “Medicine in Deir Ezzor and all colleges in the branch of Raqqa and Dentistry in the Hasakeh branch” will continue to be suspended for the academic year 2019-2020.
New Euphrates University students who are registered for the academic year 2019-2020 are required to attend the parent university and may not be accommodated in any of the other universities.
According to the decision, students enrolled in other universities in the academic year 2017-2018 and earlier shall be selected to host either the academic year 2019-2020 only in accordance with the rules adopted by the Higher Education Council resolutions governing the student's time. Only at the beginning of the academic year 2020-2021 or return to the Euphrates University at the beginning of the academic year 2019-2020.
The decision confirmed that the students who attend the Euphrates University in the academic years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 are not entitled to host in other universities, while the student who is returning to Euphrates University shall apply the decisions of the Higher Education Council governing the hosting. Which he had already managed at the host university if he returned at the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year.
According to the decision, new students can be admitted to the faculty of nursing at Euphrates University for the academic year 2019-2020 provided that the number of admitted students does not exceed 50.Al-Furat University student is allowed to transfer to another university if he meets the conditions of similar transfer.
The Euphrates University was established by Law No. 33 of 2006 and includes twenty-five faculties, distributed in the governorates of Deir Ezzor, 11 faculties, in Hasakeh governorate, 8 faculties and in Raqqa governorate, six faculties.
