Turkish authorities have arrested 23 people on suspicion of links to Turkish preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is accused by the regime of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of being behind the coup attempt in Turkey in mid-July 2016.
"Parallel operations have been carried out in the provinces of Yalova, Bursa, Erzurum, Istanbul, Sakarya, Samsun and Kocaeli, which resulted in the arrest of 23 people," the Anatolia news agency said, citing unnamed judicial sources.
Erdogan authorities issued arrest warrants yesterday for 46 people, including military personnel under the pretext of links to the coup attempt.
Erdogan's regime has used the coup attempt to liquidate its opponents and opponents. Tens of thousands of people, including journalists, judges, opposition politicians and government and military officials, have been arrested and some 150,000 have been sacked or suspended from the public and private sectors.
