Rouhani: The international community must confront America's hostile and unilateral positions

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on the international community to take a firm decision and effective measures in confronting America's hostile and unilateral positions.

"Resistance of some countries, including Iran, to unilateral hostile actions by the United States led to this country facing the inhumane and unfair embargo," President Rouhani said in his speech to the Eurasia Economic Summit in the Armenian capital of Yerevan. In recent years, it has exerted pressure on some countries, including China and Russia, as part of its unilateral vision and not paying attention to international agreements and resolutions.

On the other hand, Rouhani welcomed the cooperation with the countries of the Eurasian Union in various financial, banking and investment fields, especially through the new effective mechanisms.

The summit of the leaders of the member states of the Council of the European Union - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia - started in Yerevan today.

During the summit, the president of Moldova was invited as head of the EU observer state, as well as the Iranian president and the prime minister of Singapore as guests of honor.
