Today, in the lands under the supervision of the General Authority for the Management and Development of the Forest in Hama governorate, the harvesting of the cotton crop for the current agricultural season has started within the cultivated areas which reached 394 hectares.

Zerov pointed out that the cotton crop will be marketed this season to the Mahrda gin after re-operation, which contributes to saving time and money on the peasants after the crop was previously marketed to the redemption grocery in Hama city center.
The Forest Development Authority has estimated the production of land under its supervision at 515 tons of cotton during the current agricultural season.
