The Saxon CDU wants to start coalition negotiations with the Greens and the SPD to form a joint government. This decided the expanded party executive unanimously in Dresden. He is composed of the state executive committee and the CDU district chairmen in the Free State.
Already after the probing party and head of government Michael Kretschmer had pronounced itself for coalition negotiations. "We do not want to manage, we want to shape," he had said on the afternoon of October 3, when the representatives of the three parties made their explorations.
Such a Kenya alliance exists so far only in Saxony-Anhalt.
Kretschmer excluded alliance with AfD and left before the election
The Saxon Union was in the state election on 1 September with 32.1 percent of the second votes strongest force before the AfD (27.5 percent). Behind them rank left (10.4), green (8.6) and SPD (7.7). Kretschmer had categorically ruled coalitions with the Left and the AfD before the election.
Party researchers see Union, Greens and SPD therefore condemned to success. A 13-page exploratory paper has already set numerous goals, as well as positions where there is disagreement.
The SPD also wanted to decide on Friday evening about the inclusion of coalition negotiations. Party leader Martin Dulig left in the run no doubt that his party agrees. The Greens want to debate this on Saturday at a party congress in Leipzig. Here, too, a vote for negotiations is expected.
