Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) spokesman Behrooz Kamalundi said on Tuesday that Iran has resorted to reducing its obligations due to the non-fulfillment of its interests under the nuclear deal.
Kamalundi said during the coordination meeting between Iran and the heads of the working group on the development of the reactor Khandab in central Iran, which was held at the headquarters of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran with the participation of delegations from China and Britain The framework of the Agreement and in such a way as to contribute to the rebalancing of commitments and related rights.
“Cooperation to develop the Arak heavy water reactor as a clause of the nuclear agreement carries a positive message to the international community,” Kamalundi said, stressing that activities related to this project are peaceful and supported by the nuclear agreement and UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
Britain's ambassador to Iran, Rap Mack, said Washington's withdrawal from the nuclear deal was not a constructive measure but the Europeans were continuing their efforts to preserve it.
For his part, said the representative of the Department of Disarmament of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Liu Ga King that Beijing has kept its full promises within the framework of the nuclear agreement and has always called for the efforts of all parties to maintain this agreement.
