Twelve presidential Democratic candidates will be in a debate organized by CNN and The New York Times at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. So you can watch the debate live.

(CNN) - There is a lot at stake for candidates participating in the CNN / New York Times Democratic debate on Tuesday, as presidential candidates seek to remain competitive in a primary field that is full of people.

Former Vice President Joe Biden will be at the center of the stage, flanked by Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont on his right and Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts on his left. It will be the first presidential debate of businessman Tom Steyer, and the representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii will return to the stage after not qualifying for the September debate.

What time is the debate?

The debate will air live at 8 pm ET at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, a suburb northeast of the state capital, Columbus. The debate will end at 11 pm ET.

How can I watch the debate?

The debate will be broadcast exclusively on CNN, CNN International and CNN in Spanish, and will be broadcast on the CNN.com homepage and on the NYTimes.com homepage. The debate will also be broadcast live on the following Facebook pages: CNN, CNN International, CNN Politics, CNN Replay, AC360 and Erin Burnett OutFront.

It will also be available on mobile devices through CNN and New York Times applications for iOS and Android, through CNNgo applications for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast and Android TV, SiriusXM channels 116, 454 and 795 , Westwood One Radio Network and National Public Radio. You can also ask Amazon Alexa to put up the debate, and the voice-controlled assistant will play the audio from it.

CNN presenters, Erin Burnett and Anderson Cooper, and the New York Times national editor, Marc Lacey, will be the moderators of the debate.

To receive an invitation to this debate, candidates had to obtain at least 2% in four separate surveys approved by the National Democratic Committee and receive contributions from at least 130,000 unique donors, including at least 400 donors from 20 different states.
