(CNN Spanish) - Argentina records its highest inflation of the year. The National Institute of Statistics and Census (Indec) reported on Wednesday that in September the consumer price index grew by 5.9%, with which the accumulated inflation in the last 12 months is 53.5%.
Indec's report details that in the first 9 months of this year accumulated inflation was 37.7%.
This indicator comes in the midst of an economic crisis that is going through the country, and while the International Monetary Fund projects in its latest report on global economic perspectives that Argentina would be the third country with the highest inflation this year, only behind Venezuela and Zimbabwe.
