The United States announced the new start-up of economic aid for the countries that make up the Northern Triangle. The initiative is to resume programs that seek to reduce irregular migration flows, as well as the fight against drug trafficking and plans to increase security. According to Kevin Mcaleenan, interim secretary of National Security of the United States, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala have managed to reduce the number of people arriving by the southern border.
