In cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch, the Directorate of Agriculture in Quneitra distributed 1000 grants of wheat and barley seeds to farmers in a number of villages in the governorate.
Quneitra Agriculture Director, Hussein Salan, explained that the grant benefited 1000 farmers in 15 villages and farms and included the distribution of 200 kg of wheat or barley and 150 kg of fertilizer for each beneficiary, which contributes to increase the agricultural production plan and the introduction of new areas and improve the conditions of families dependent on agriculture.
The president of the Kenitra Farmers' Union, Ali Meshail, pointed out the importance of this grant in helping farmers and families to improve their material conditions and cultivate land, especially those that have been reclaimed this year, which contributes to increase agricultural areas and agricultural production.
