The FDP has yet to make it: On Sunday evening, the five-percent hurdle and pulls back into the Thuringian state parliament. However, it was very close. The party came to a total of 5.0005 percent of the vote.
The FDP jumped the five-percent hurdle by five votes, as the provincial election administration explained in the early Monday morning. She relied on the preliminary result.
The first extrapolations to the Thuringia election had been published around 18 clock. At 9.30 pm, the count results for the FDP showed a 5 before the decimal point. At 10.30 pm the result fell below the decisive limit for a few minutes.
In the end, the FDP pulled back with 55,422 votes after five years absence again just in the state legislature. The party will be represented there with five seats.
