Roads continued to be opened in all Lebanese regions today, traffic was active and shops were opened after nearly a month of protests in the country.

According to the National Media Agency, the city of Tripoli witnessed an active traffic this morning and opened shops, public and private institutions, interests, government departments, banks and some schools and universities, while all the main, main and international roads are open to traffic except the lanes leading exclusively to Al-Nour Square.

The agency said that the protesters yesterday and today to remove school students from their schools and march in demonstrations and gathering in front of the electricity and communications laboratories and institutions, especially financial to close their entrances to prevent the entry of employees to their offices.

The agency reported that some areas witnessed rallies and sit-ins, where students from various schools in Lebanon gathered in front of the Ministry of Education in UNESCO, denouncing the high tuition in private schools and demanding the creation of public schools, noting that they had completely closed the road and were diverted to sub-crossings amid the deployment of internal security forces. Anti-riot and the Lebanese army as a number of students tried to enter the ministry building to close offices and remove staff.

In Akkar, protesters closed banks, institutions and official and private interests. School students in Baalbek held a sit-in in front of the civil organization center and the municipality building. In Batroun, students toured schools and demanded that their classmates leave and join them, but the students continued their classes while the entrances to educational institutions remained closed. In Jbeil and Zgharta, students gathered in front of the Saray Jbeil building and in front of the entrance of Zgharta University. School students and parents staged a sit-in in front of banks in the area and prevented citizens from entering it as well as official departments where employees and citizens were denied entry. Students in all these sit-ins and in Sidon, the student march reached the front of the entrance of the Serail, while the students of Baalbek schools staged in front of the Banque du Liban branch.

There have been demonstrations and sit-ins in many Lebanese areas since the 17th of last month in protest against the deteriorating living and economic conditions.
