Should the US list posters as terrorist organizations?

Some US lawmakers showed their repudiation for the massacre in northern Mexico that ended the lives of women and children, nine people in total from the same family named LeBarón with Mexican and American nationality. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham says he prefers to travel to Syria than to some places in Mexico and proposes, along with other officials in Washington, to add drug cartels to the list of terrorist organizations.
