NEW YORK (Reuters) - A New York state court has ordered President Donald Trump to pay $ 2 million to nonprofits after he abused his charity's funds to fund his campaign.
According to Reuters, the court considered that Trump used charitable donations for personal purposes and according to its decision, Trump should pay the money to a number of non-profit organizations.
This comes as part of a lawsuit filed in June 2018 against Trump and three of his sons, Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka, in which he accuses Trump of “excessive political coordination” between his charity and his campaign.
The Trump charity, which raised funds, is scheduled to be disbanded in December 2018.
The US House of Representatives recently approved a resolution to launch the public phase of the investigation into the issue of isolating Trump after the scandal of his phone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelinsky, while a new opinion poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal and the network "NBC" America yesterday that more than half of Americans support Investigations to isolate him.
