The head of the contact group for Syria in the German parliament Frank Bazeman said that the BAD and its representatives in parliament have a clear vision of cooperation with Syria and they are interested in the situation there and the return of security and stability to it.
Speaking to SANA during the visit of the German parliamentary delegation to the National Museum in Damascus, Bazeman pointed out that his “Alternative for Germany” party presented several initiatives related to Syria in the German parliament, including the restoration of diplomatic relations and the lifting of coercive economic measures imposed on it.
Bazeman said that during this visit to Syria, he noted the return to normal life in the streets of Damascus, which he visited last year, where business flourished in shops and markets and returned to its previous practice and that the situation is now safer.
In turn, member of the delegation Jurgen Hans-Paul expressed his admiration for the improvement that took place in Syria. .
Member of the delegation Valdemar Herdt said that what he saw on the ground in Damascus contradicted what was reported by the international media because he saw a vibrant Syria and people live in it normally and strolling in the streets and do their daily work.
He expressed the hope that security and safety will return to all of Syria and that the reconstruction process will begin and the economy will improve, pointing out the importance of the return of tourism activity and visitors to Syria from all over the world to see this country which has always been an important tourist landmark.
