Turkish authorities have arrested 74 people, including military personnel, under the pretext of links to the preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is accused by the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan of being behind the coup attempt in July 2016.
"An arrest warrant has been issued against 47 Turkish ground forces sergeants, including 30 on duty, and 38 of them have been arrested in parallel operations in 21 Turkish provinces," the Anatolia news agency said, quoting Ankara public prosecutors as saying in a statement.
Prosecutors in Izmir also issued arrest warrants for 28 people on charges of association with the organization, 21 of whom were arrested in separate operations in nine Turkish provinces.
Erdogan authorities also arrested 12 people on charges of membership of the Gulen Organization and three others under the pretext of using the Baylock messaging application used by the organization.
On Monday, the Turkish authorities arrested 12 people under the pretext of links to Gulen.
Erdogan's regime continues to crack down on its opponents in various cities and regions of Turkey under the pretext of a coup attempt.
