The General Assembly of the United Nations voted today by a majority of 167 votes in favor of a resolution deciding the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

Wafa reported that the General Assembly adopted the decision of the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people by a vote of 167, while five countries, including the United States and the Israeli occupation entity, opposed it while 11 abstained.

The permanent representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, explained that the vote that took place today in the General Assembly by an overwhelming majority in favor of the Palestinian people confirms that he must exercise his right to self-determination through an independent state, expressing his appreciation to the countries of the world for their position in support of this right, which is an important element In the rights of the Palestinians.

Mansour pointed out that the world, with its absolute majority, is still wrapped around the just stands of the Palestinian people and their cause, and about international law and international legitimacy.
