He looks at his wife Ramona, who for almost a month has been like every day by his side, and whispers "Hello love". This is how the runner Andrea Grilli awakened from a coma last Monday, who at the end of November had slipped during a training session on the Bergamo side of the Resegone. The story was told in a long post published on the Facebook page of ASD Falchi di Lecco, a sports club, but above all, as can be read on their website, "a group of friends with a passion for the mountains and for running" .

The post traces the whole story of Andrea, the 36 year old who slipped on 30 November. "He leaves home at 6 o'clock. He is alone. Following the path n.1, he reaches the peak around 8 o'clock and begins to go down". After the fall, "he is found thanks to another hiker who slipped in the same area".

He is found "in hypothermia, is unconscious, has numerous bruises and fractures, the lungs collapsed, but he is alive".

The runner is taken immediately by helicopter to the Hospital of Bergamo in the intensive care unit ". The body temperature is brought back to 36 ° C and with the passing of the days the vital parameters stabilize. He breathes autonomously but does not wake up. However, he recalls the Lecco sports group, "every day there is an imperceptible progress: small reactions to the external voices, the eyes that open, the rhythm of the breath that accelerates, the hand that weakly squeezes that of the person who speaks to him".

The turning point came on Monday 23 December: "It is afternoon, it is the visiting hours for Andrea, his beloved wife Ramona speaks to him as always and Andrea has the decisive reaction that we all expected. He opens his eyes, with a new light that finally brings them floods. He opens his mouth and says the most beautiful words: 'Hello Love!' ".

The post published on Fb and on the ASD Falchi website ends with a quote by Paulo Coelho: "We can only understand the miracle of life when we let the unexpected happen".
There is also a thank you to the same runner: "Thanks Andrea for making us all feel like brothers, united in hope, confident in prayer, each in his own way". (HANDLE).
