Watch: The moment soldiers and ultra-Orthodox danced together
With one heartBrotherhood and Soldiers: Every day on Chanukah, volunteers come "in one heart" with music and a lot of mood for hospitals across the country to put a smile on the patients' faces.
Yesterday (Tuesday), during the daily visit to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem, the volunteers met a group of combat soldiers who also came to volunteer and rejoice the patients. The encounter between the ultra-Orthodox and combat soldiers at the center of the department became very fast and infectious.
Menachem - one of the volunteers - says: "At first we were afraid to approach the soldiers, but we quickly saw that there was no tension between us and the joy and enthusiasm of both groups was stronger than all the politics and noise in the media."
My uncle Whitman Founder and Chairman "In One Heart": "We meet every day patients, special children and people who are in unpleasant medical conditions. Every day our volunteers spread joy to everyone, regardless of human differences. Over the years we have learned that with a smile and a guitar, you can transcend all controversies. "
