Ye Aodong posted a clue on his personal Facebook yesterday, saying that he "walked into a familiar environment and set off again", and tagged "don't worry about me", "have set goals" and "thank my friends who care about me".

Prior to serving as a district councilor, Ye Aodong was a reporter for the political edition of Wen Wei Po, specializing in the news of the Legislative Council and the CPPCC. In just five years, he has been promoted to assistant director of interviews. When he was elected as a District Councillor, he declared that he was a news executive. Ye Aodong said that he has been an employee of Wen Wei Po and has written articles in newspapers from time to time, but thanks to his busy work in the past, he thanked him. The newspaper's understanding allows him not to worry about interviewing. Instead, he will be responsible for more newspaper planning and assisting colleagues in conducting interviews.

When Ye Aodong was a member of the District Council, he declared that he was a news administrator.

Will I continue to serve in the constituency after losing the election? Ye Aodong said that he would not give up his service in the Jordan South Constituency, and would continue to serve the public on a regular basis in the regional offices in the future. He would continue to serve the community through public offices such as members of the Tourism Authority and the board of directors of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority.
