The Pentagon announced today that the United States will send reinforcements to the Middle East, after its criminal aggression, with the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Authority.
The news agency AFP quoted a US defense official as saying that the United States is deploying up to 3,500 additional soldiers in the region to enhance the security of US sites.
The leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, had vowed a harsh response to the assassination of General Soleimani following the air aggression of the American forces in Baghdad, while the Iranian Supreme National Security Council stressed that criminals should expect harsh revenge at the right time and place.
