At about 6.20 am on Saturday (January 41) morning, a minor breakdown of the engineering vehicle was reported at MTR Wan Chai Station, causing train service to be blocked. On the platform of Wan Chai Station, the words "Service Delay on Hong Kong Island Line" were displayed on the screen. Fortunately, no crowds were seen inside the station. By about 7 am, the train service returned to normal.
