Case "The pack": "Yes it was rape", concludes Supreme Court 1:33
(CNN Spanish) - A source from the Delegation of the Spanish Government in Murcia confirmed on Friday to CNN that, on January 1, three American sisters filed a complaint of sexual assault with the Spanish authorities.
According to this source, the three sisters were celebrating New Year's Eve when they met three other young people, of Afghan origin. One of the sisters left first to her apartment, accompanied by one of the three boys. Subsequently, the other two sisters
They were taken to another apartment by the other two boys. Both in one case and in the other, as they stated in the complaint, the sisters were raped.
The source adds that, after filing the complaint, the usual protocol for these cases was activated, which includes an examination performed by forensic doctors, to analyze the physical condition of the girls, as well as a subsequent statement.
As for the alleged aggressors, the three were arrested on January 2 by the National Police, and today, Friday, they began to give a police statement, thus waiting to go to court. CNN has not been able to confirm whether the detainees already have lawyers.
Despite the process they initiated following the allegations, this source from the Delegation of the Spanish Government in Murcia reported that the three sisters left on Friday for a trip to Vienna.
Apparently, one of the three sisters was currently residing in Murcia, a municipality where she was studying. The other two sisters traveled to Spain to visit her and the plan included traveling later in Europe.
The same sources of the delegation indicated that the National Police is trying to coordinate with the Spanish Embassy in Austria so that the three young women can give complementary statements regarding their complaint when required.
