Investigation of the assassination attempt in Ashkelon: The head of a crime organization was arrested with a warrant two days ago
Investigators arrested the head of a Southern crime organization on suspicion of assassination attempt in Ashkelon. The city magistrate's court ordered his release because of the arrest warrant issued two days before the explosion and the lack of evidence warranting arrest
Ashkelon Magistrate's Court decided Saturday to release the head of a criminal organization arrested on suspicion of involvement in an assassination attempt in Ashkelon as a vehicle blew up in the city on Thursday. The suspect was released after the court ruled that police did not provide evidence of his arrest and that the arrest warrant was issued two days before the incident itself. "This is an order issued before the explosion and it was appropriate to check whether the arrest warrant was issued for this incident or for another incident," the court ruled. Police have sought to delay the execution of the decision to appeal.
The incident happened Thursday, during which a man in the town suffered minor injuries. Many police forces arrived at the scene, the intersection of Begin-Frank Street in the city. The injured person goes to the hospital independently, where he received medical assistance after his condition was mildly defined.
