The American army announced today the killing of two of its soldiers and the injury of two others, when an explosive device exploded in the southern province of Kandahar.
The Associated Press quoted the US military as saying in a statement: "Two American service members were killed and two others were wounded by an explosive device that was planted on the side of the road and targeted their vehicle in Kandahar province."
For its part, the armed Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the attack.
The NATO forces in Afghanistan announced earlier today that an explosive device targeted a vehicle belonging to the American forces in Kandahar province, southern Afghanistan, without revealing any deaths or injuries.
It is noteworthy that the US military announced on the 23 of last month that one of its soldiers was killed in Afghanistan without giving details.
